1. The people. I very much appreciate the staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, considerate, and very accommodating of my sincere yet limited (and apparently humorous) facility with Italian language. Much appreciation for the patience, guidance, advice, and thoughtfulness. 2. The location was great. The street is pedestrian yet cab/car service picks up at the corner perhaps 1.5 minutes unless you stop at one of the many cafe’s or shops. Come back at night to music. More western pop/rock than traditional Italian music but the accordion guy was there often.present and it’s incredible fun watching him play at the Irish pub across the street from the hotel (fear not; there’s another Irish pub two blocks down and make a left across from the Duomo). 3. Everything is close. Go two blocks, make a left, and there’s the Duomo. Go two blocks make a left, and there’s the Palazzo de Medici Riccardi museum/offices. Go two blocks, make a left, and there’s the Cappelle de Medici tomb. Go two blocks, make a left, and there’s another super amazing Florentine wonder. There is a caveat. Some things are a bit of a walk. The Ponte Vecchio and a couple of other things may be up to 15 minutes.

Breakfast was fab, bathroom had a bathtub (unheard of) and albeit the mattress was a little firm for my liking the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, even our of hours and the location was fantastic: very central!

David

The staff were wonderful. Older hotel, but great value. Great location, and breakfast. I would stay here again.

Erika
